A major challenge awaits on Friday when the Bulldogs will be in Crete to take on fourth-ranked Doane. Head Coach Myron Bradbury's squad owns GPAC wins over Dakota Wesleyan and Midland.
After three weeks between outings, the Bulldogs knocked off some rust on Saturday (Jan. 8) as 14 Concordia competitors combined for 13 wins and three pins. Jeaven Scdoris placed fourth while Issiah Burks reached the semis of their respective brackets.
Issiah Burks, Jacob Telles and Mario Ybarra combined to go 9-0 on the day as the Bulldogs won two of three duals at the Concordia Bulldog Duals on Saturday (Dec. 18). Concordia hosted a field of five teams inside Friedrich Arena.
The 2021 Concordia Bulldog Duals, set to be staged inside Friedrich Arena on Saturday, will feature five teams and eight total duals. The event will be the final one of the 2021 calendar year for Head Coach Myron Bradbury's squad.
With the help of Anthony Perez's tech fall at 157, the Bulldogs emerged with a 32-18 GPAC dual win over Midland on Thursday (Dec. 9). Concordia won six of the 10 matches, including a triumph for TJ Huber at 174.
In its second home appearance of the 2021-22 season, the Concordia Wrestling team will host Midland for a Thursday (Dec. 9) dual. The Bulldogs will seek their second GPAC dual victory of the season.
A trio of Bulldogs earned place finishes at the Doane Open on Saturday (Dec. 4) in Crete, Neb., where Concordia wrestlers combined for 30 wins. The outing marked the fifth tournament this season for Head Coach Myron Bradbury's squad.
In an event that featured all nine GPAC wrestling institutions, the Bulldogs earned a win over Dakota Wesleyan and fell at the hands of Morningside on Saturday (Dec. 1). Jacob Telles provided one of the highlights with a pin to end the night.
All GPAC wrestling squads will descend upon Sioux City, Iowa, on Wednesday for a significant conference event. As part of the evening, the Bulldogs will dual Dakota Wesleyan and Morningside.
For his performances at the Younes Hospitality Open, Mario Ybarra has been recognized as the GPAC Wrestler of the Week. Ybarra placed second in the 133-pound elite bracket and defeated two nationally ranked opponents.
