A group of four Bulldogs earned 2025 First Team All-GPAC accolades in representing Concordia Women's Soccer. Kierstynn Garner and Niah Kirchner collected their third career First Team All-GPAC awards.
The GPAC semifinal needed extra time to be decided as No. 3 seed Hastings found a golden goal to defeat No. 2 seed Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Soccer on Saturday night.
After a No. 1 seed falter, the No. 2-seeded Bulldogs are the highest remaining, but will host a talented No. 3 Hastings on Saturday (Nov. 8) for the GPAC Semifinals. Concordia defeated CSM in its opening match of the GPAC tourney.
CUNE Women's Soccer bulldozed No. 7 seed College of Saint Mary (3-0) on Tuesday night. After going down a score in their past two matchups, the Bulldogs blitzed hot out of the gate scoring two in the first six minutes.
The Bulldogs earned the No. 2 seed after a miracle last second score by Kierstynn Garner and will be hosting the No. 7 seed CSM on Tuesday. CUNE has taken the second spot for the last three GPAC tournaments.
Jubilant screams and hugs were had by the Bulldogs in the final seconds of the regular season finale as game-winning Kierstynn Garner scored the go-ahead goal to defeat Doane on Wednesday.
Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Soccer will host Doane for its final scheduled game on Wednesday (Oct. 29). The Bulldogs and Dordt drew (1-1) after 90 minutes of play and gained a much-needed point.
After a late first half score, Dordt attempted to play defense the rest of the 45 minutes before Taylor Slaymaker netted a 28-yard blast to tie the contest late on Saturday.
Starting this week at the top of the table, CUNE Women’s Soccer is set to collide with second place Dordt on Saturday. The Bulldogs will have the midweek off after winning its fourth-consecutive match with road shutouts.
Elena Ruiz plunged a dagger in the back of the net in the second half for the eventual contest winner over Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday. The dangerous offense found the go-ahead score in the 69th minute against the Tigers.
