• Bragging rights within the state will be on the line this week as Concordia Softball looks forward to taking on Doane and Hastings. The Bulldogs (12-13, 1-1 GPAC) are coming off a doubleheader split with Morningside to open league play.

  • Runs were hard to come by on Saturday (March 25) as Concordia and Morningside played two tight low-scoring affairs. The Bulldogs rallied to win game one, 2-1, before falling by a 3-1 score in game two.

  • In its first home action of 2023, Concordia Softball was blanked by visiting Nebraska Wesleyan in losses by scores of 4-0 and 8-0. The Bulldogs had been idle since wrapping up the Tucson Invite on March 10.

  • As the schedule lays out, the Bulldogs will be off until play at Mount Mercy on Sunday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Coach Brock Culler's squad just finished a stretch of playing 13 games in eight days. Concordia stands at 11-10 overall.

  • It was a marathon Thursday (March 9) in Tucson as the Bulldogs played three times. The highlight of the day was a walk-off, two-run double from Caitlyn McGarvie. Concordia wound up 1-2 with a win over St. Francis (Ill.).

  • Two very different games played out on Wednesday (March 8) as the Concordia Softball team split two games at the Tucson Invite. The Bulldogs struck for 18 hits in a 13-5 win over Dickinson State before falling by a 4-0 count to Siena Heights.

  • A red hot weekend in Wichita resulted in Kylie Shottenkirk earning GPAC Player of the Week honors. The Lincoln North Star High School product went 9-for-14 (.643) with two home runs and 11 RBIs at the plate last week over four games.
