A rash of Northwestern turnovers helped the Bulldogs build a 10-0 lead at the half as they attempted to upset the fourth-ranked Red Raiders. The home team then dominated the final two quarters and won, 34-10, in Orange City.

On the heels of two down-to-the-wire losses to in-state GPAC rivals, the Bulldogs are preparing for the challenge of playing at No. 4 Northwestern on Saturday. Concordia is looking to defeat the Red Raiders for the first time since 2016.

It's homecoming week for the Bulldogs, who had a bye week to stew on their season opening loss at Doane. Concordia will try to bounce back on Saturday when it hosts Hastings at 1 p.m. CT.

Missed red zone opportunities and the leg of Doane kicker Kelen Meyer doomed the Bulldogs to a 12-10 loss in Crete on Saturday (Sept. 3) evening. Michael Grindey paced the Concordia defense with 13 tackles and a forced fumble.
