Brooks Kissinger and Dane Jacobsen both went for 21 points and Concordia put forth a strong defensive effort in a 78-73 road win over No. 3 Northwestern. The Bulldogs have won four straight.
Concordia built a lead as large as seven points and clung within seven in the final four minutes of action on Wednesday (Nov. 19) while up against NCAA DI Omaha. Brooks Kissinger poured in 26 points.
The competition will be stiff this week as the Bulldogs get set to take on NCAA Division I Omaha and NAIA third-ranked Northwestern. Concordia opened GPAC play with a home win over Waldorf.
The quartet of Dane Jacobsen, Brooks Kissinger, Tate Odvody and Jaxon Stueve combined for 73 points as Concordia Men's Basketball ran away with a 95-67 rout in the GPAC opener on Saturday (Nov. 15).
The Bulldogs will attempt to make it three in a row at home as they prepare to host Waldorf for the GPAC opener on Saturday. Concordia went 2-0 at the Cattle Classic behind Brooks Kissinger.
Brooks Kissinger starred at the Cattle Classic with 49 combined points in wins over Oklahoma City and Clarke. Kissinger also added 16 rebounds and 11 assists in a breakthrough weekend.
Eight different Bulldogs nailed at least one trey as Concordia steamrolled Clarke, 107-68, at the Cattle Classic on Saturday (Nov. 8). Brooks Kissinger and Jaxon Stueve were named to the All-Cattle Classic team.
Brooks Kissinger poured in a career-high 31 points while leading the Bulldogs to an 87-76 home win over Oklahoma City at the Cattle Classic on Friday (Nov. 7). Concordia shot 59.6 percent from the floor.
The 26th annual Cattle Classic will play out Nov. 7-8 and will feature a total of eight basketball games inside Friedrich Arena. The event raises money and food for local food pantries.
A tough test against a strong Wayland Baptist foe resulted in a 75-72 loss for the Bulldogs on day two of the Tabor Classic. Brooks Kissinger and Dane Jacobsen paced Concordia with 17 points apiece.
