A personal best performance in the pole vault paved the way for Erin Mapson to be named the GPAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Mapson moved up to No. 3 on the program's all-time indoor women's pole vault list.
The final home meet of the 2022 indoor season will run off on Saturday as the Bulldogs host the annual Concordia Invite. The meet will feature athletes from 13 different colleges and universities.
The men's 4x4 blazed to a 'B' standard time and three individuals clocked new personal bests as the Bulldogs wrapped up the weekend on day two of the Husker Invite. Sixteen Concordia athletes were in action on Saturday (Feb. 5).
In the highlights of the day on Friday (Feb. 4), Erin Mapson climbed to new heights in the pole vault and five Bulldogs earned fresh 'B' national qualifying standards. Concordia athletes competed at home and at the Husker Invite.
Following a season best performance at the Beile Classic, Sarah Ragland has been named the GPAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Ragland currently ranks No. 2 on the NAIA's national list in the weight throw.
The Bulldogs will welcome athletes from 12 different institutions to the Concordia Classic on Friday. It will be the program's third home indoor meet this season. Select Bulldogs will also be at this weekend's Sevigne Husker Invitational.
The Bulldogs came away from the Beile Classic with nine performances that met the automatic national qualifying standard and eight event championships. New auto marks were turned in by the men's DMR, Abigail Gerber and Wyatt Loga.
For their fourth weekend of indoor competition, the Bulldogs will be at Doane for the Fred Beile Classic. Action on Saturday is set to begin at 11 a.m. CT. Concordia will be looking to add to its 13 automatic national qualifying marks.
Concordia landed men’s and women’s teams inside the top 20 of the initial NAIA National Rating Index for the 2022 indoor season. The women landed at No. 2 and the men checked in at No. 18.
