Concordia University, Nebraska will lace up their cleats for its final four regular season contests which include doubleheaders versus Doane and College of Saint Mary inside Plum Creek Park.
The Dordt offense continued to display its firepower taking two versus (6-0, 10-2) CUNE Softball on Saturday (April 18). A visiting Bulldogs squad looked for an answer in the circle but couldn’t find one to slow down the Defenders.
The Bulldog bats popped for 40 total hits driving in 33 runs in the twin bill sweep of Waldorf on Friday (April 17). Laycee Josoff mashed two four-baggers in one inning of game one.
The Bulldogs showed grit in two contests against 22nd-ranked Midland but couldn’t push across the winning run in the 11-inning pitchers’ dual on Tuesday. CUNE forced the Warriors to go four extra frames before falling in a walk-off.
The Bulldogs will have little time to rest with another six-game week on the docket starting with No. 22 Midland on Tuesday (April 14). Concordia University, Nebraska will stay the away team the entire stretch ending with Waldorf and Dordt.
Tobi Topp’s first game three-RBI hack gave the Bulldogs the initial contest, 4-2, on Saturday (April 11). Meanwhile, Concordia University, Nebraska Softball dropped, 7-5, in the second outing in a back-and-forth offensive struggle.
Call it the Keira Farritor Game. The sophomore from Malcolm went off for a hat trick of home runs as the Bulldogs won game two at Mount Marty, 13-3. That performance followed a game one loss.
Looking to find a new rhythm, the Dawgs came out on top (2-0, 8-3) against Hastings in two different style games on Monday. All three phases came through in the right moments for Concordia University, Nebraska Softball.
The Bulldogs have a six-game schedule starting on Monday (April 6) with a doubleheader versus Hastings. Concordia University, Nebraska Softball will host the Broncos.
GPAC doubleheaders with Hastings and Midland have been postponed due to forecasted rain and chilly temperatures. The Bulldogs are now set to host Hastings on April 6 and travel to Midland on April 14.
