Twenty Bulldog athletes opened the 2024-25 Concordia Powerlifting season at the Strong Husker Powerlifting Meet in Lincoln where Rylee Ladd was named Best Overall Female Lifter. Three school records were also broken.

Year three of Concordia University Powerlifting is slated to get underway this October. The program has announced a schedule complete with five competitions throughout the 2024-25 campaign.

It was a historic day for the Concordia Powerlifting program, which hosted a home meet for the first time ever. There were 25 athletes from four different institutions that showcased their might inside the PE Center Gym on April 20.

History will be made on Saturday when the Concordia University Powerlifting program hosts a home meet for the first time ever. The Bulldogs will be joined by three other programs at the competition.

In making immense improvement as a program, Concordia Powerlifting turn in national team place finishes of ninth on the women's side and 19th on the men's side. Rylee Ladd broke the American bench press record.

A crew of 17 Bulldogs will be headed to the Atlanta area for the 2024 USA Powerlifting Collegiate Nationals. The Concordia nationals roster includes repeat qualifiers Dax Davis, Kenzie Houser and Rylee Ladd.

In the second competition of the 2023-24 season for Concordia Powerlifting, 15 Bulldogs claimed top-three individual placements at the 2023 Central Collegiate Regional Championships. Four were champions in their weight classes.

Chetek, Wis., native Rylee Ladd starred at the Husker Strong Meet as she was named the Female Best Lifter award. She was one of seven Bulldogs to claim titles within their respective weight classes as the powerlifting season kicked off.
