More favorable weather conditions on day two of Nebraska Wesleyan’s Howl at the Hill resulted in improved scores across the board. Led by the likes of Drew D'Ercole and Justin Webert, the Bulldog 'A' team placed fifth out of 10 teams.
Seventy-one competitors were tasked with battling major wind gusts in Sunday (April 16)’s first round of the Howl at the Hill. The Bulldogs shot a team score of 326 and are in third place heading into Monday's final round.
In the annual Bulldog-Tiger Cup, Concordia emerged victorious over rival Doane, 10-8. The competition featured best ball and singles match play on a cold and blustery day at York Country Club.
Drew D'Ercole starred on Tuesday (April 11) while shooting one-over-par, vaulting him into a tie for fourth place on the final leaderboard at the Midwest National Invite. As a team, the Bulldogs placed eighth.
Jake Hagerbaumer emerged with an ace on hole 8 while highlighting the first day of the Midwest Spring National Invitational. The Bulldogs reside in fifth place behind 75s from Drew D'Ercole and Ivan Yabut.
The highlights for the Bulldogs at the Bethel Invite were the individual performances of Drew D'Ercole and Jaxson Fullerton. As a team, Concordia finished in a tie for sixth place with a two-day score of 295-315–610.
All eight Bulldogs in action on Saturday (April 1) at the Bethel Spring Invite shot 79 or lower as the team sat in sixth place at the conclusion of round one. The field at the Bethel Invite includes 11 teams and 75 golfers.
As part of its first outing of the spring, Concordia Men's Golf took home the runner-up trophy at the Doane Spring Invitational. Individually, Ivan Yabut placed in a tie for sixth and the Bulldogs outperformed all GPAC competition.

Consider Concordia junior Reid Wiebe the Happy Gilmore of GPAC golfers. No, Wiebe does not stutter step his way into his tee shot, but his powerful drives are enough to make Shooter McGavin jealous. Wiebe attacks par fives with the tenacity of a Seward squirrel on an acorn.
Both Concordia golf programs continued their ascent in the league standings in 2014-15. Now in his fifth season, head coach Brett Muller expects his squads to produce even better results throughout the 2015-16 campaign.
