  • A key figure in Concordia's thrilling final week of the regular season, Gage Smith has been named the GPAC Player of the Week. Smith totaled 23 points and 17 rebounds in the win over Briar Cliff.

  • As a sign of its maturity, Concordia did not get too caught up in the hoopla surrounding Wednesday's win over Briar Cliff. The Bulldogs played focused in an 86-70, win at Dakota Wesleyan that put them in a tie for first place in the final GPAC standings.

  • A degree of hope for a share of the conference regular season championship remains for the Bulldogs, who host Briar Cliff and travel to Dakota Wesleyan this week. Concordia will honor the senior class on Wednesday night.

  • Offensive woes were the culprit on Wednesday (Feb. 9) as the Bulldogs were tripped up at Doane, 54-50. Concordia shot only 32.8 percent from the floor and slipped to 13-5 in GPAC play as it continues to chase a conference title.
