· Current record: 23-8, 17-5 GPAC (T-3rd in final standings); ranked No. 13 in NAIA coaches’ poll.
· Last week – NAIA National Championship Tournament:
o First Round – Lost vs. Bethel (Kan.), 78-76, on March 13.
· Links: 2025-26 Schedule | Roster | Statistics | NAIA Coaches’ Poll
· Notable: The season finished in heartbreak in the first round of the NAIA National Championship tournament. The sixth-seeded Bulldogs allowed a late 74-69 lead to slip away and were upset by Bethel College (Kan.), 78-76. The game’s final points came in the closing 30 seconds when Caryn Yoder made all three free throws after being fouled from beyond the 3-point arc. Foul shooting was an issue for Concordia, which went 13-for-28 (.464) in that department. Four Bulldogs reached double figures in the defeat: Kristin Vieselmeyer (18), Sammy Leu (13), JJ Jones (10) and Ayla Roth (10). Head Coach Drew Olson led the program to the national tournament for the 17th time in his 20 years at the helm. The result means the end of the line for Vieselmeyer, a First Team All-GPAC honoree as a senior. The third of three sisters to compete as a student-athlete at Concordia, Vieselmeyer finished with four-year totals of 986 points, 452 rebounds, 160 assists, 94 steals and 83 blocked shots. Olson will return a strong nucleus for 2026-27, led by a senior class featuring the likes of Bree Bunting, Jones, Raelyn Kelty and Leu. Roth also figures to make a jump going from her freshman to sophomore year. Concordia went 23-8 overall and was ranked as high as No. 9 in the NAIA coaches’ poll this season. The Bulldogs placed in a tie for third in the GPAC regular season standings and reached the conference tournament semifinals before then being selected as an at-large national qualifier.

· Notable: The season officially concluded on March 5 when the Bulldogs learned they had not been selected to the 64-team NAIA National Championship field. Concordia was left out despite a 19-12 overall record and its status as the GPAC tournament runner up. Head Coach Ben Limback’s squad reached the GPAC tournament final via postseason wins over Dordt and No. 21 Morningside. The Bulldogs won six times over teams that qualified for the national tournament. The GPAC representatives at the national tournament are Morningside and Northwestern. Concordia was led in 2025-26 by GPAC All-Conference honorees in Brooks Kissinger (first team), Dane Jacobsen (second team), Zac Kulus (honorable mention) and Jaxon Stueve (honorable mention). The Ashland, Neb., native Kissinger accumulated 663 points (22.1 average) on the season for the fourth highest total in program history. In the semifinal win at Morningside, Kissinger became the 39th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. A high school teammate of Kissinger, Jacobsen enjoyed a strong season of his own in averaging 13.3 points while shooting 46.4 percent from 3-point range. Concordia figures to make a run at a return to the national tournament in 2026-27 behind a nucleus that will feature the likes of Jacobsen, Kissinger and Stueve, as well as Jacob Duitsman, Hayden Frank, Tate Odvody and others.

· Notable: Head Coach Josh Watts’ Bulldogs wrapped up their season at the NAIA National Championships in Wichita, Kan., on March 6. The season’s final day was a rough one as Barret Brandt (184), Hagen Heistand (157) and Paul Ruff (133) each came up one win shy of reaching the All-America podium. Concordia’s nine qualifiers combined for 23.5 team points, placing the Bulldogs at 20th in the final team standings. Both Heistand and Ruff advanced to the quarterfinals of their respective brackets before tasting defeat. Of the nine Bulldogs at the national tournament, six notched at least one victory. As a major highlight, Brandt posted two pins on the national stage, pushing his career total to 50, equaling the school record he now shares with Deandre Chery. Though the end was disappointing, Concordia enjoyed a stellar season that included an 8-1 overall dual record, second place conference finishes in the regular season and postseason, the program’s best ever finish at the Missouri Valley Invite (third) and individual GPAC titles for Heistand and Cal Price (149). The Bulldogs rose as high as No. 16 in the NAIA’s official national ratings. The offseason now gets underway as Concordia aims to raise the bar higher in 2026-27.

After three days of competition in Gainesville, Fla., the Bulldogs placed in a tie for 31st (10 points) on the women’s side and in a tie for 33rd (nine points) on the men’s side. The most thrilling moment occurred on the final day when senior Adrianna Rodencal blazed to a time of 8.25 in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and celebrated her first career NAIA national title. It was her fifth career All-America award. Her time was also a personal best that broke her own school record (again). Concordia’s two other All-America awards came on the men’s side as Nathan Baldwin placed third in the weight throw (PR of 63’ 4”) and Jonny The Jet Jurchen placed sixth in the 3,000-meter racewalk with a school record of 12:14.38. A total of 21 Bulldogs made their way to Gainesville. In other highlights, Jack Habegger reached the finals of the racewalk as a freshman and the men’s 4x800-meter relay ran a season best of 7:41.34. The group was made up of Keith Siek, Trenton Kumm, Lucas Corwin and Justin Sherman.
