Vieselmeyer, Roth earn high honors; six Bulldogs recognized as GPAC All-Conference

SEWARD, Neb. – A total of six Bulldogs from the Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Basketball program have been honored with 2025-26 GPAC All-Conference awards. As announced by the league office on Wednesday (March 4), first team accolades went to senior Kristin Vieselmeyer and second team honors were earned by freshman Ayla Roth. Additionally, the honorable mention list included juniors Bree Bunting, JJ Jones, Raelyn Kelty and Sammy Leu.

Head Coach Drew Olson’s squad will enter the national tournament with an overall record of 23-6 (17-5 GPAC). The Bulldogs will await Thursday’s release of the 64-team NAIA National Championship bracket for details on their first-round matchup and site assignment.

A native of Holyoke, Colo., Vieselmeyer has moved up to the GPAC’s first team after being tabbed second team as a junior in 2024-25. In 30 games as a senior, Vieselmeyer is averaging 11.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. She sports shooting percentages of 46.0 (126-for-249) from the field, 38.5 (26-for-65) from 3-point range and 81.2 (56-for-69) from the foul line. Vieselmeyer has helped lead Concordia to the national tournament for the third time in her career. In 123 games as Bulldogs over the past four seasons, Vieselmeyer has totaled 968 points, 450 rebounds, 158 assists, 92 steals and 81 blocked shots.

Roth (Milford, Neb.) burst onto the scene as a freshman after a successful run at Milford High School. Her rookie season has included a GPAC Offensive Player of the Week award. Roth was also named to the Hoops in Hawaii Classic All-Tournament team after scoring a career-high 25 points in the win over the University of Providence (Mont.). On the year, Roth is averaging 11.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She is shooting 40.8 percent (111-for-272) overall, 34.7 percent (50-for-144) from 3-point range and 65.9 percent (58-for-88) from the foul line in 30 games.

A native of Kersey, Colo., Bunting has stepped into a starting role in 2025-26. She ranks as the team’s third leading scorer with an average of 9.4 points per game. Bunting earned a GPAC Defensive Player of the Week award in mid-February following stellar performances in wins over Morningside and Doane. In addition, Bunting is averaging 2.1 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.7 assists while starting all 30 games. She is shooting 44.5 percent (114-for-256) from the field, 26.4 percent (28-for-106) from 3-point range and 74.3 percent (26-for-35) from the foul line. Bunting has tallied 463 career points.

Jones, who hails from Omaha, Neb., has stepped up her game as a junior. While playing the most minutes of anyone coming off the bench, Jones has averaged 7.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. She is shooting 49.4 percent (85-for-172) from the field, 44.9 percent (22-for-49) from beyond the arc and 79.2 percent (38-for-48) from the free throw line. Her career high of 16 points came in the win over then 13th-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.). Jones has totaled 416 points in her collegiate career.

A Kiowa, Colo., native, Kelty has continued to expand her game and has earned Honorable Mention All-GPAC honors in back-to-back years. On the season, she is averaging 8.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Kelty has put up career-best shooting percentages across the board: 47.8 (89-for-186) from the floor, 41.9 (36-for-86) from beyond the arc and 81.1 (43-for-53) from the foul line. Kelty poured in a career-high 23 points on the strength of 7-for-9 3-point shooting in the GPAC quarterfinal win over Briar Cliff. She has piled up 569 career points.

Another member of the impactful junior class, Leu has made her mark as one of the league’s top backcourt defenders. Among GPAC players, Leu ranks second in steals (83) while serving as a major reason why Concordia ranks top five nationally for steals per game and turnovers forced per game. A starter in all 30 games this season, Leu is averaging 8.9 points, 2.8 steals, 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest. She is shooting 42.1 percent (99-for-235) from the field, 37.1 percent (52-for-140) from the perimeter and 61.5 percent (16-for-26) from the free throw line. Leu has accumulated 605 career points.
