Deandre Chery and Michael Stann made their way on to the first team of the All-GPAC wrestling teams released on Thursday (Feb. 21) by the conference. A total of five Bulldogs were honored.

Five Bulldogs will represent the wrestling program at the NAIA national championships next week in Des Moines, Iowa. The group includes Deandre Chery and four first-time national qualifiers.

Twelve Bulldogs scrapped at the GPAC championships in Orange City, Iowa, on Saturday (Feb. 16) with the result being a fourth-place team finish. Eight Concordia wrestlers reached the GPAC semifinals.

The largest home crowd of the 2018-19 wrestling season came out hoping to see the Bulldogs claim an outright GPAC title. Unfortunately, Concordia fell, 27-12, while honoring its senior class.

Thanks to a win over the NAIA's 19th-ranked 149-pounder, junior Cameron Devers has been named the GPAC Wrestler of the Week. Devers has helped the Bulldogs to a 7-0 mark in GPAC duals.

An outright GPAC dual title and a perfect run through the conference slate will be on the line Thursday when the Bulldogs host Morningside. Concordia will also honor six seniors prior to the dual.

Ten Bulldogs combined for 14 victories while in action at the Sioux City Dave Edmonds Open on Saturday (Feb. 2). For some Concordia competitors, it marked the final matches of the 2018-19 season.

The Bulldogs won seven of 10 matches (four with bonus points) while clinching at least a share of the GPAC dual title on Thursday (Jan. 31). Concordia is now 7-0 inside the conference after a 28-10 win at Northwestern.
