The Concordia University Softball team competed at a sunny 60-degree Plum Creek Ballpark on Friday (Mar. 29). Hosting conference rival Doane, the Bulldogs split the two game doubleheader.

Kenna Heath has gone from Bluejay to Cougar to Bulldog. Says Kenna, "God really showed me that I needed to do something different and I am working on trusting Him and His plan for me." Kenna joined the softball team at semester.

The 2017 Concordia softball team provided plenty of memorable moments during a 34-win campaign. It was a solid send off for a senior class headlined by first team all-conference pitcher Michaela Woodward.
From day one, Michaela Woodward proved herself as a winner. After a legendary effort as a freshman at the 2015 GPAC tournament, Woodward has continued to elevate her game. She departs early to pursue a nursing career.
A new approach has helped senior Megan Ruppert shine in her second season as a Bulldog. Ruppert has led the team in batting average while playing a sparkling center field. She is a transfer from McCook CC.
Plenty firepower returns to a Concordia lineup that averaged nearly 6.5 runs per game in 2016. Head coach Todd LaVelle's Bulldogs were picked to finish third in the GPAC preseason poll. The season begins Friday (Feb. 10) in Fort Worth, Texas.
