After eight canceled games, the Concordia University, Nebraska Softball staff scheduled a new slate for this Sunday and Monday. The Bulldogs have agreed to play in Sioux Center against Bellevue University and No. 18 Benedictine College.

After struggling through the first five innings, the Bulldog bats came alive and sparked Concordia Softball to a doubleheader sweep of Culver-Stockton. Grace Maguire produced a walk-off hit and Kylie Shottenkirk doubled four times.

On day one of the 2025 season, Concordia Softball earned a 5-0 win over Mayville State behind the pitching of Kaylei Denison. The Bulldogs then fell by a 4-3 score to NCAA DII Sioux Falls.

No matter the weather, the Bulldogs will open the 2025 season this weekend (Feb. 1-2) with four games at the ASB Sports Complex in Sioux Center. The opponents will be Mayville State, Sioux Falls and Culver-Stockton.

It’s been a process, but the transformation of Concordia Softball under Head Coach Brock Culler has entered another phase. Coming off a third-place GPAC finish, the Bulldogs believe they are primed for more in 2025.
As Head Coach Brock Culler says, "The feel is there. It's real." Concordia Softball carried momentum from its 2024 late season surge into fall ball. The roster includes a nice mix of veterans (nine seniors) and newcomers (17).
The 2019 Bulldogs won 70 percent of their games and placed third in the GPAC. It was a positive step in the first season of head coach Shawn Semler's tenure. Concordia hopes it's just a start.

Kenna Heath has gone from Bluejay to Cougar to Bulldog. Says Kenna, "God really showed me that I needed to do something different and I am working on trusting Him and His plan for me." Kenna joined the softball team at semester.

In the community and on the diamond, the 2017-18 Concordia softball team is working to uphold a winning culture. The results so far this fall have been promising for a youthful squad led by captain Leah Kalkwarf.
The 2017 Concordia softball team provided plenty of memorable moments during a 34-win campaign. It was a solid send off for a senior class headlined by first team all-conference pitcher Michaela Woodward.
