A 17-3 run in the second half broke a tie and fueled the 11th-ranked Bulldogs over Nebraska Wesleyan in a renewal of an old NIAC/GPAC rivalry. Concordia won, 74-57, as part of day two at the Cattle Classic.

A week after being pegged first in the GPAC preseason poll, the Bulldogs landed at No. 11 in the NAIA preseason coaches' poll. It's the highest ranking for the program since 2005.
