It's been a successful opening week for Bulldog men's basketball, which trampled Barclay College, 97-62, to move to 3-0 this season. Tanner Shuck and Brevin Sloup were named to the All-Cattle Classic team.
A stunningly dominant second half spurred the Bulldog men's basketball team to a 79-60 upset of 25th-ranked St. Thomas to cap the opening day of the 19th annual Cattle Classic. Concordia is out to a 2-0 start.
The 19th annual men's Cattle Classic will play out this Friday and Saturday inside Walz Arena. The event raises money and food for the Blue Valley Community Action's Food Pantry. Canned goods will be accepted for admission.
It was Brevin Sloup, Tanner Shuck and several new faces in the season opener for Concordia men's basketball. Sloup led the way with 19 points in what resulted in a 70-59 home victory over Kansas Wesleyan on Monday (Oct. 29).

Following a sixth-place GPAC finish in 2017-18, the Bulldog men's basketball team has been picked by league coaches to finish 10th in the conference this season. Tanner Shuck is the team's lone returning starter.
