Concordia Lifting sports has unveiled 2026-27 schedules for powerlifting and weightlifting. Both Bulldog squads will hold their first competitions in October while building off top 10 national finishes in 2026.

The first official home meet in the history of Concordia University, Nebraska Weightlifting is on tap for Feb. 28. Twenty-three athletes are expected to compete at the CUNE Weightlifting Open.

In recognition of his achievements across the weightlifting landscape, Freddie Myles has been named the 2025 Iowa-Nebraska Weightlifting State Organization Coach of the Year.
Concordia earned the team title at the Nebraska State Weightlifting Championships for the second year in a row. Individually, five Bulldogs broke school records.
