Concordia Shooting Sports will challenge itself with 11 events throughout the 2023-24 schedule. Head Coach Dylan Owens' squad will open things up at the Fort Hays State Shoot and eventually travel to Illinois for the national championships in the spring.

Seven Bulldogs tested their skills in international shooting events the weekend of April 1-2 as Concordia hosted its own event in Grand Island, Neb. Jack Nelson and Katie Welker emerged with event championships in Bunker.
Courtesy of their efforts at the NCSSAA National Championships, four Bulldogs have been named 2023 All-Americans. The accolades went to Sam Blevins, Wyatt Hambly, Tanner Muff and Katelyn Welker.
A group of 22 Bulldogs represented the program at the NCSSAA National Championships and helped the team to a third-place overall finish. Individual national titles were won by Wyatt Hambly, Sam Blevins and Claire Kee.
The 2023 NCSSAA National Championships get started on March 14 for the Bulldogs and the field of qualifiers present in Vegas. Twenty-two athletes will represent Concordia at Clark County Shooting Complex.
Bulldogs Sam Blevins, Jack Nelson and Haley Schmutzer each competed at the 2023 Spring Selection Match sponsored by USA Shooting in Tucson, Ariz., Feb. 5-8. Blevins led the way by placing third overall and earning a M21 bronze medal.
In the final outing of the fall, Concordia added four national qualifiers to the season tally while placing fifth HOA out of a field of 18 teams. The Bulldogs were led by Wyatt Hambly, Tanner Muff and Buchannan Tietjen HOA.
Nine Bulldogs tested their skills in either international trap or international skeet while in action at the Greater Midwest Super Shoot on Thursday (Oct. 27). Seven of the nine Bulldogs cracked at least 80 targets in their respective events.
Competition week has arrived for Concordia University, Nebraska Shooting Sports, which is coming off 2024-25 place finishes of third in conference and seventh at nationals. Eleven national qualifiers return to the roster.

The ninth season of Concordia Shooting Sports will have a new feel to it as Dylan Owens takes over as head coach. Owens looks to build upon the sturdy foundation put in place in recent years by Coach Scott Moniot and a talented crew of student-athletes.
Concordia Shooting Sports wrapped up a successful 2021-22 season while going through the healing process following the loss of Coach Scott Moniot. Members of the team will gather together for one more event before the spring semester's end.
