With the help of red hot Tori Homolka, the Bulldog softball team returned to action and took two games at Ottawa University (Kan.) on Friday (March 22). Concordia won by scores of 10-5 (8 inn.) and 5-3.
With the wealth of postponements/cancelations that have occurred this season, the Bulldogs were thankful to pick up a doubleheader Friday (March 22) at Ottawa.
Due to poor field conditions, the softball doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday (March 20) between Concordia and Nebraska Wesleyan has been postponed. A makeup date is to be determined.
Concordia clicked as a team during its season opening run at the Tucson Invitational. The Bulldogs won twice by run rules on Saturday (March 9) while pushing their win streak to eight. They are 9-3 overall.
Behind pitchers Camry Moore and Brittany Woolridge, the Bulldogs pushed their win streak to six with two more victories at the Tucson Invite on Friday (March 8). Moore got a win over the 25th-ranked team.
The Bulldogs put all of the pieces together on Thursday (March 7) while earning wins over Presentation (S.D.) and Waldorf (Iowa) at the Tucson Invitational. Grace Bernhardt twirled a two-hit shutout.
In the third day of action from the Tucson Invite, the Bulldogs rallied from a late deficit to defeat Benedictine and complete a two-win day in Arizona. Concordia has moved to 3-3 this season.
A monster fourth inning flipped Concordia's fortunes in the second game of a doubleheader split with Jamestown on Friday (April 5). The Bulldogs recovered from being no-hit in game one.
The first win of Shawn Semler's coaching tenure at Concordia came on Monday (March 4) at the Tucson Invite. The Bulldogs defeated Missouri Valley, 13-3, before an eight-inning defeat to No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan.
Hhana Haro homered and Camry Moore gave a stellar performance in her first collegiate game as the Bulldogs opened up the 2019 season on Sunday (March 3). The Bulldogs fell twice at the Tucson Invite.
