Scheduled road doubleheaders this weekend at Dakota Wesleyan and Jamestown have both been postponed. A makeup at Jamestown has been set for April 21.
Concordia Softball will log plenty of miles this weekend as it hits the road en route for the Dakotas. The Bulldogs will be at Jamestown on Friday and at Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday.
When things looked bleak in the seventh, the Bulldogs responded with six-straight hits, including the game tying and go-ahead RBI doubles by Regan Karel and Caitlyn McGarvie in a 6-3 win at Doane.
Concordia got the pitching performances it needed on a breezy Sunday (April 11) at Plum Creek Park. The Bulldogs split a doubleheader with Midland, winning 6-3 and then falling 3-0.
Due to wet field conditions at Plum Creek Park, Concordia Softball versus Midland has been moved from Saturday (April 10) to Sunday (April 11). First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 2 p.m.
Camry Moore struck out 10 hitters in a complete game and Regan Karel delivered a three-run homer as part of an 8-4 win at Doane on Wednesday (April 7). Game 2 was suspended.
In its first action since March 30, Concordia Softball will take on Doane and Midland in GPAC doubleheaders. The Bulldogs stand at 17-5 overall (3-3 GPAC).
Concordia had its chances in a 4-3 game 1 loss in Tuesday (March 30)'s doubleheader with 16th-ranked Morningside. The Bulldogs were flattened, 14-1, in game 2.
A strong start to conference play led to Tori Homolka being named the GPAC Player of the Week. She went 6-for-12 with a double, two home runs and eight RBIs for the week.
In a clash between the two top rated teams in the GPAC, Concordia will host 16th-ranked Morningside on Tuesday. First pitch from Plum Creek Park is set for 5 p.m. CT.
