After having conceded two early goals in their first two matches, the Bulldogs locked down the Bluejays' attacking third claiming their first shutout Saturday night (Sept. 2).
Concordia let an early nightmare goal slip through against York University for the second game in a row, but once again the Bulldogs stayed unphased rattling off three unanswered.
With the first notch in their 2023 belt, Concordia will open the current week hosting two KCAC opponents starting with York University and Tabor College (Kan.).
With Graceland University (Iowa) down a man in the second half, the Bulldogs capitalized on a penalty kick by the foot of Victor Meneses (59’) kicking in a game winner on Saturday (Aug. 26).
The Concordia men’s soccer team’s quest to “go further” starts this Saturday (Aug. 26) as the defending GPAC Tournament Champion Bulldogs start with a standoff against Graceland University (Iowa).
For its exceptional work in the classroom, the Concordia Men’s Soccer program has garnered the 2022-23 College Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches. Eight Bulldogs had earned Scholar-Athlete honors this past season.
The Concordia University Soccer program will begin its season by receiving votes (RV) in the 2023 NAIA preseason poll. The league office announced the Bulldogs received 27 votes on Wednesday (Aug. 16) which eclipses their highest total in the 2022 season with 11 on Oct. 26.
