In the third outing of the inaugural season for Concordia Powerlifting, four athletes placed first and all 10 of the team's competitors improved their scores from the previous meet. The next event on the schedule will be the national championships.

Eleven Bulldogs represented Concordia Powerlifting Sports in the program's first-ever powerlifting event. The team competed alongside mostly Midland athletes as part of the Warrior Open in Fremont, Neb., on Oct. 8.

All seven Bulldogs who competed in the first-ever competition for Concordia Lifting Sports earned medals with four placing first among college athletes. Five Bulldogs also exceeded national qualifying standards with their performances.

The inaugural season of Concordia Powerlifting Sports is set to get started on Sept. 10-11 with the MidAmerica Nazarene Open. That competition will be one of eight throughout the 2022-23 campaign for Head Coach Freddie Myles squad.
