While shooting two-over-par both days, Drew D'Ercole claimed his second top-five tournament finish this season. His medal was the highlight of the Nebraska Intercollegiate, which saw the Bulldogs place seventh as a team.
Windy and cool conditions made for higher scores across the board as golfers from 11 different in-state institutions competed in round one of the annual Nebraska Intercollegiate. Drew D'Ercole shot a 74 for the Bulldogs.
Both Jacob Woodmancy and Gavin McWhorter emerged with top 10 individual finishes at the Hastings Bronco Invite. In the team standings, the Bulldog 'A' grouping placed fifth in a field that featured competitors from eight institutions.
Gavin McWhorter performed at a higher level than all but one competitor in the entire field in round one of the Hastings Invite. The Bulldogs will enter round two in fourth place, five strokes off the tournament lead.
At the third official varsity tournament of the fall, the Bulldog 'A' grouping placed 11th while led by one-under-par rounds from Jake Hagerbaumer and Justin Webert on the final day of the Siouxland Fall Invite.
Eight Bulldogs stand within five strokes of each other following two rounds of action at the 2023 Siouxland Invite. Jacob Woodmancy and Jake Richmond tied for the lowest cumulative score in Sioux Center on Monday.
Drew D'Ercole and Justin Webert collected top 10 individual medals at the Blue River Classic as the Bulldogs placed third as a team. Concordia's 'A' squad shot a three-round total of 296-297-291–884 at Highlands Golf Course.
Led by top-10 standings from two Bulldogs, Concordia will enter the second day of the Blue River Classic in third place out of 16 groups. Coach Brett Muller's squad shot 296-297–593 at the home course Highlands on Tuesday (Sept. 5).
More than 90 golfers from 11 different institutions will be on hand as Concordia and Doane co-host the 2023 Blue River Classic on Tuesday and Wednesday. The tournament will feature 54 holes of golf played at Highlands Golf Course.
Josh D'Ercole led a group of eight Bulldogs who competed at the Mount Marty Invite as part of the opening week of the 2023-24 season. D'Ercole was one of three Concordia golfers to place inside the top 20.
