Crete native Murphy Sears carded a one-over-par 73 while winning the CSM/Midland Spring Invite on Thursday (April 5). She led her team to a third-place finish that put the Bulldogs above many of their GPAC rivals.
The 2018 spring golf season teed off on Thursday at Grand National Lake Course. The Bulldogs carded a two-day score of 331-307–638 and placed ninth out of 12 teams that competed in Opelika, Ala.
In its final round of the fall season, the Concordia men's golf team placed ninth out of 13 teams at the annual Nebraska Intercollegiate. Russell Otten led the way for a Bulldog squad that carded a 319 score.
Led by upperclassmen Nolan Zikas and Russell Otten, the Concordia men's golf team has positioned itself nicely after two rounds of GPAC championship action. Zikas sits in a tie for fifth on the individual leaderboard.
Three different Bulldogs shot even par or better as the men's golf team equaled a program record low for a single round on Monday (Oct. 2). Concordia sits in fourth place after day one of the GPAC championships.
Nolan Zikas led a massive day two improvement by equaling a school record for a single round during Wednesday's action at Highlands Golf Course. As a team, the Bulldogs moved up five places in the standings.
Led by the likes of Nolan Zikas, Tylar Samek and Kort Steele, the Concordia men's golf team shot a rock solid 299-293--592 at the Siouxland Invite, placing third at the event.
Four Bulldogs carded scores of 76 or lower while helping the Concordia men's golf team move up three spots on the second and final day of the Midland Fall Invite in Oakland, Neb. Nolan Zikas finished 14th individually.
