In its final competition of the 2018-19 season, the Bulldog cheer team placed 13th at the NAIA Northwest Qualifier in Fremont, Neb., on Friday (Feb. 23). Concordia posted a score of 48.69.
In a warm up for the GPAC championships on Saturday, the Concordia cheer team came up short in a dual at Morningside on Wednesday (Feb. 7). It marked the second dual this season for the Bulldogs.
While hosting the largest cheer and dance competition in program history, the Bulldogs placed sixth in both cheer and dance at the Concordia Invite on Saturday (Feb. 2). The Bulldogs were joined by six GPAC schools.
While competing at the 2019 GPAC Cheer and Dance Championships, the Bulldogs placed sixth in dance and seven in cheer. The event took place at Hastings on Saturday (Feb. 9).
The Bulldog cheer and dance teams both placed third in their first competitions of 2019, which took place at the Doane Invite on Jan. 19. The meet included GPAC opposition in Doane and Hastings.
In conjunction with the annual CIT, the Bulldog cheer team tested itself against three other Concordias and placed third in the competition in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Head coach Mandi Maser's cheer and dance programs both landed four student-athletes on the NAIA's list of 2018 Scholar-Athletes. The Bulldog honorees include two seniors and six juniors.
The competition season ended on Friday (Feb. 23) for the Concordia cheer and dance squads, which both placed ninth at the NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance Northwest Qualifier hosted by Morningside.
