As the primary catcher, played in 38 games with 36 starts ... batted .256 (32-for-125) with 14 runs scored, five doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 31 RBIs while posting an on-base percentage of .369 and slugging percentage of .480 ... successfully handled 269 of 271 chances (.993) while playing catcher and also seeing time at first base ... collected seven multi-hit games ... went 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs in a win over Hastings on March 20.

2021: Junior
Appeared in 48 games while starting 46 ... batted .327 (54-for-165) with a .403 on-base percentage and .515 slugging percentage ... totaled 14 runs, 10 doubles, seven home runs, and 44 RBIs ... notched 380 putouts, 31 assits and one error for a .998 fielding percentage ... collected 17 multi-hit games and 13 games with two or more RBIs.

2020: Sophomore
Played in 12 games, making 11 starts at catcher ... batted .314 (11-for-35) with a .455 on-base percentage and .486 slugging percentage ... tallied five runs, three doubles, a home run and eight RBIs ... put up 115 putouts, seven assists and two errors for a .984 fielding percentage ... collected two hits in three separate games.

2019: Freshman
Appeared in 31 games and started 28 while playing catcher ... batted .222 (20-for-90) with a .317 on-base percentage and .344 slugging percentage ... totaled three runs, two doubles, two home runs and 15 RBIs ... notched 283 putouts, 27 assists and five errors for a .984 fielding percentage.

High School
Benjamin played for Coach Randy Snyder at Kuemper Catholic High School. He lettered and started all four years for the Knights.  He was awarded Team’s Defensive Player of the Year for his freshman, junior and senior season. He won the team’s Leadership and Character Award his sophomore season, Teammate of the Year in 2017, All-District 2016-18, Iowa All-Star Series participant in 2018. The Knights were district champs and State runner-ups in 2016 and 2017, and District Champs in 2018. Benjamin also played football and was district champs in 2017. He was also voted All-District in football in 2017-18.

Personal
Benjamin was born in Carroll Iowa to Rod and Angie Berg. He has three siblings: Bryce Berg, Casey Berg and Kyle Berg.
