SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia University, Nebraska Athletic Department has updated its policy regarding fan attendance for indoor athletic events. Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 11, attendance at indoor sporting events on the Concordia campus will be restricted to 25 percent capacity. Consistent with Great Plains Athletic Conference policy, spectators will not be allowed for indoor track and field meets this winter. Concordia will continue to allow up to 75 percent capacity in outdoor venues.

The new fan attendance policy falls within the COVID-19 Directed Health Measures (DHMs) released by the state of Nebraska. Such measures went into effect on Nov. 11. The state’s new DHMs, which include Seward County, will run through Nov. 30.

Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets for upcoming home basketball games via Concordia’s HomeTown Ticketing page: https://www.cune.edu/athletics/tickets. Tickets will also be sold on site, provided capacity limits have not already been reached through online sales. Faculty, staff and students should also use HomeTown ticketing to reserve a ticket (without being charged). Any changes to fan attendance policies will be noted on this page: https://www.cune.edu/athletics/information-fans.

Please note that several institutions within the GPAC have also amended their fan attendance policies. Before making travel plans to any road venues, please review that particular institution’s policies and protocols. The GPAC has created a web page with links to each conference school’s polices here: http://www.gpacsports.com/gpac-covid19-fan-protocols.
