Major road tests on tap for Bulldogs

The Bulldogs impressed with a 2-0 week inside the conference with wins over Doane and College of Saint Mary. Now they face two tough road matchups this week - at Hastings and at No. 9 Midland.

  • The usual suspects Kendra Placke and Murphy Sears led the way while the rest of the Concordia University women’s golf team rose to the occasion on Monday (Sept. 30) at the fall portion of the 2019-20 GPAC Championships. Due to the threat of inclement weather on Tuesday, 36 holes of conference action were packed into one day at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, S.D.

  • For his role in the 16-14 homecoming victory over Briar Cliff, freshman safety AJ Jenkins has been named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. Jenkins intercepted a pass, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

  • Concordia held Briar Cliff to 191 total yards and forced seven turnovers in a 16-14 homecoming victory on Saturday (Sept. 28). The Bulldogs (2-2, 2-1 GPAC) have now won back-to-back conference games.

  • Concordia and Dordt played to a 2-2 double overtime draw Saturday (Sept. 28) in Sioux Center, Iowa. Freshman Jaiden Beecher and Kaley Heinz supplied the goals for the Bulldogs (2-0-1 GPAC).
