Three Bulldogs honored by NWCA as 2025-26 Scholar All-Americans

SEWARD, Neb. – Three Bulldogs represented the Concordia University, Nebraska Wrestling program on the honor roll announced on March 13 by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). The following Concordia student-athletes were named 2025-26 NAIA Scholar All-Americans by the NWCA: junior Gabe Kant, senior Cole Price and sophomore Cal Price. Cole Price has earned Scholar All-American status for the second year in a row.

In order to receive the NWCA Scholar All-American award, student-athletes must meet one of the following criteria:

·        Must have a 3.0 GPA and be a 2026 NAIA All-American

·        Must have a 3.25 GPA and be a 2026 NAIA Qualifier

·        Must have a 3.5 GPA if they did not qualify for NAIA Nationals. MUST also have competed in at least 5 contests or the National Qualifying Conference Tournament.

All three Bulldog award winners appeared at the 2026 NAIA National Championships. Cal Price earned his way there with a 149-pound GPAC title while Kant and were automatic qualifiers based on their placements at the conference championships. Cole Price is also a two-time national qualifier and was tabbed a 2025-26 NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Head Coach Josh Watts’ program concluded the 2025-26 season with a 20th-place team finish at the national tournament. Concordia qualified nine individuals for the national championships. Other team accomplishments included second-place GPAC finishes in the regular season and postseason, a third-place claim at the Missouri Valley Invite and an 8-1 overall dual record.
