Silva listed in final NAIA national rankings

Junior Julian Silva (Covina, Calif.) climbed his way into the final NAIA national ranking at 197 pounds. 

Silva placed second at the NAIA North Regional Championships and posted a 3-2 win over George Hargrove of Dickinson State University.  Hargrove was the number one seed in the tournament and came into the competition ranked 8th in the nation.

Silva enters the national championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as the 11th ranked wrestler at 197 pounds in the Coaches Poll, but one of eight regional finalists.  Silva leads the Bulldog wrestling squad with an impressive 36-10 season record.  He leads the team in wins (36), team points (153), decisions (19), and most falls (9).
