Joseph notches Fifth Place to highlight NAIA National Championships

Concordia University (Neb.) sophomore Adam Joseph (Hastings, Neb.), freshman Jacob Williams (Rio Rancho, N.M.) and senior Julian Silva (Covina, Calif.) remained alive as the final day of competition began at the NAIA National Championships for Wrestling in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, Mar. 3.

Joseph kicked things off for the Bulldogs at the 133-pound class in the consoalation semi-finals.  A 9-6 loss to Cambellsville's Tim Thurston sent Joseph into the fifth-place match.  Joseph closed his season with a victory, an 8-6 decision over Nathan Galloway of Shorter Collegee to take fifth place.

Both Williams and Silva dropped their opening matches on Saturday, settling for an eighth place finish.

Williams dropped a 13-7 decision to Lindsey Wilson's Issac Thomas, while Silva was pinned by Jesse Alter of Missouri Valley College at 4:28.
