Joseph earns first place at NAIA North Regional

No. 10 Concordia took fifth place at the NAIA North Regional title on Saturday, Feb. 18, picking up 96 team points. No. 8 Midland University took home first place, edging out No. 6 Morningside. 

Adam Joseph (Hastings, Neb.) defeated his opponent from Dakota Wesleyan 8-6 to win first place in the 133-pound division. Three Concordia wrestlers were runners-up in their weight classes: Jake Williams (Rio Rancho, N.M.) at 141, Alfredo Torres (Pamona, Calif.) at 174 and Julian Silva (Covina, Calif.) at 197. In the 285-pound division Dillon Heesch (Dayton, Iowa) took third for Concordia.

Qualifying Bulldogs will move on to the NAIA National Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday, March 1.
