Denver Lutheran's Robinson signs with Concordia

Denver Lutheran's Branden Robinson has committed to wrestle at Concordia University next season.

Robinson wrestled to a 32-18 senior season at 132 pounds, recording 35 nearfalls and 18 reversals. He placed in the top four in all six tournaments in which he competed. Robinson won 52 matches in his junior and senior season and placed 3rd in Colorado's Class 2A Region 4 championships. Robinson holds the team record for the most technical falls in a season.

Robinson could compete at 133 or 141 pounds for the Bulldogs next season.

"We are excited to have Branden join us," said head coach Doug Reese. "Branden has some very strong skills, but he is not even scratching the surface of his true potential yet. We believe in time that he will have an outstanding collegiate career here at Concordia both on and off the mat."

Robinson plans to major in business administration.
