Bulldogs prepare for Knox College Invite

The Bulldog wrestling team, fresh off of placing nine wrestlers in the Yellowjacket Open this past weekend, travels to Knox College (Galesburg, Ill.) this weekend for a 12-team invitational tournament.

Concordia is expected to compete against Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.), Simpson College (Iowa), Knox College, North Central College (Ill.), UW-Platteville, Central College (Iowa), Hannibal-LaGrange College (Mo.), Truman State University (Mo.), Rend Lake College (Ill.), Northland International (Wis.), Itasca College (Minn.), Illinois State University, and the University of Dubuque (Iowa).

This will be the first invitational tournament Concordia has participated in.  There is team scoring in an invitational, where open tournaments do not track team scores.

“We are excited for this weekend,” commented Coach Doug Reese.  “Our last competition went well, and we made the necessary corrections where our technique broke down.  Thus far, we have had a great week of practice.  It will be fun to see how we place amongst these other programs.”

Wrestling begins on November 13th at 9 am in T. Fleming Fieldhouse on the Knox College campus.
