Head Coach Josh Watts’ squad has competed in two tournaments and one dual through the early portion of the 2025-26 season. In last week’s 32-18 victory over Hastings, Concordia won five contested matches with bonus points. The wins were produced by Cal Price (pin at 141), Cole Price (major decision at 165), Evan Sepanlou (major decision at 174), Hunter Weimer (pin at 184) and Torrance Keehn (pin at 197). In the one ranked versus ranked matchup of the night, the Broncos’ Koen Mattern edged Gabe Kant at heavyweight, 11-6. Concordia has gone 7-2 in GPAC duals since Watts took over as head coach prior to the 2024-25 season.

Based on official ratings released the week of Nov. 3, the Bulldogs boast nine wrestlers ranked at the conference level and seven competitors ranked at the national level. A transfer from Labette Community College, Kant has already earned tournament place finishes at the Friends Falcon Open and Dakota Wesleyan Open. He leads the team with seven wins this season. The next highest win total among Concordia wrestlers belongs to Cole Price, who is 5-2 with a place finish at the DWU Open to his credit.

Former Bulldog Head Coach Dana Vote traveled his Doane team to Prescott, Ariz., this past weekend for the Mile High Open. The Tigers placed second behind 184-pound champion Tyson Beauperthuy. A national runner up last season, Beauperthuy helped the Tigers to GPAC regular season and tournament championships and to an NAIA fourth place nationals finish in 2024-25. Beauperthuy and Ben Miller (157) are returning GPAC champions. Doane’s roster features 11 wrestlers with current NAIA national rankings, including five athletes who are rated atop the GPAC within their respective weight classes. The Tigers went 8-0 last season in GPAC duals and went on to set a new GPAC Championships standard for team points (218).

Doane has won the past five dual matchups with Concordia. The most recent victory for the Bulldogs in this rivalry came on Jan. 25, 2020, by a 33-14 team score. Concordia went 8-0 in conference duals that season and won the GPAC tournament title.
