Bulldog wrestling signs Kale Hintz

Concordia University wrestling is excited to announce the signing of Kale Hintz of Thayer Central High School in Hebron, Nebraska.

Hintz is a four-time Nebraska state championship qualifier.  As a senior, Hintz posted a 36-11 record with 26 pins at 171 pounds.  He has a career prep record of 117-58 for the Titan wrestling program.

Hintz has a 3.5 grade point average and is planning to major in Biology with an interest in Pre-Physical Therapy.

“We expect Kale to start for us next season,” noted head wrestling coach Doug Reese.  “Kale pins people.  We need to have the ability to pin in our lineup in the upper weight classes."

"He has a great frame, and we expect to add some strength and muscle to him,” added Reese.  “We would like Kale to bump up into a higher weight class next season.  He will excel in our program.  He is the type of student-athlete we are always searching for, and I am certainly glad we found him.”

Hintz is expected to wrestle at 184 pounds for the Bulldogs in 2011-2012.
