Bellevue East's Seth Bass to wrestle for Concordia

Seth Bass of Bellevue East High School in Bellevue, Nebraska has committed to wrestle and play football for Concordia University.

Bass is a two-time Nebraska state wrestling qualifier who placed 3rd as a senior at 189 pounds. He wrested of a 31-4 record as a senior and set the Chieftains single season pin record with 24 falls. He was selected as team captain and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler as a senior.

Bass lettered in football, wrestling and track and was named Bellevue East's "Most Athletic Senior Male Athlete".

Bass was selected to wrestle in the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association East-West All-Star Duals.

Seth Bass is expected to play fullback on the Concordia football team and compete at 197 pounds for the wrestling team.

"Seth is a tremendously gifted athlete, he has been blessed with a lot of skills," noted head wrestling coach Doug Reese.  "We are very excited to have him in our program.  We see Seth doing a lot of damage within the Great Plain Athletic Conference and in the NAIA throughout his collegiate athletic career.  We love the fact that he is a pinner, and I know that he will be fun to coach and watch in competition."
