Concordia is now 1-5 this season. The match on Saturday was Bethany’s first contest of the year.

Head coach Joel Reckewey said, “It was a great first victory for the women at home. It made it all the more exciting for the girls to get that first victory on the home court. I really thought that we played well. The matches we did play were competitive and I liked the performances. I’m very excited for them to get their first victory. It will really help their confidence out on the court.”

In the singles matches, Alison Ebel defeated her foe 6-2, 6-3 while Kayla Smock stomped out her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Hannah Boe played three close sets but was defeated, 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
