Head Coach Lisa Hart and company went 1-1 this past week dealing a shutout (7-0) on senior day versus Hastings. The Bulldogs dropped their match to Morningside, 1-6, in Sioux City in a failed attempt to take out last season’s regular-season champs. No. 6 Nina Milic won both her singles bouts over the Broncos, 6-3, 6-1, and the Mustangs, 6-4, 3-6, 10-3. The sophomore out of Belgrade, Serbia, has won four out of her last five in the final slot of the lineup.
The Bulldogs have reached double-figure wins this season with their best win coming against No. 19 William Woods University, 4-2. They have other big wins over Ottawa University (6-1) and the University of Saint Mary (4-1). Concordia has outscored its opponents 59-38 in points this season with a 54-28 record in singles and a 19-24 showing in paired matches.
Four Bulldogs have reached nine wins in singles including Ishane Derman (9-3), Alexa Richert (9-3), Milic (9-4) and Mariana Molano (9-5). Alana Lopez Pagan (7-6) and Chakira Derman (6-6) finish out the starting six. Richert, out of Gillette, Wyo., has won seven of her last eight with one of the better records as we start the final stretch of the season. Molano (47), Lopez Pagan (38), Richert (33) and Chakira (32) have some of the top career win counts for active players. The Bulldogs look to gain more as the core will try to make another postseason run.
The Bogotá, Colombia, native Molano has the career win record stretched out to 47. She will continue to make the record tougher to reach with at least five more matches coming to end her senior season. In 2025, Molano reached her highest season win total with a record of 14-6. She has played all of her matches at No. 1 except seven at No. 2, delivering a perfect 7-0 record. The Colombian has 37 wins in paired bouts and is 6-4 with Ishane, all at No. 1 in 2026.
