Dawgs eat up Prairie Wolves in final fall dual

LINCOLN, Neb.- The Bulldogs were one game away from perfection in singles play, defeating in-state Nebraska Wesleyan University, 6-1, on Tuesday (Oct. 7). Mariana Molano and Alana Lopez Pagan went unbeaten in both singles and doubles for the matchup.

Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Tennis went 2-0 this fall and will take the unblemished record into 2026 spring season.

No. 1 Molano shut out Sylvia Kamradt in straight sets (6-0, 6-0), along with No. 3 Lopez Pagan over Elizabeth Routh (6-0, 6-0). Molano, a Bogota, Columbia, native, won her 39th dual singles match of her career.

No. 4 Ishane Derman continued the onslaught toward perfection defeating Vivian Dao (6-0, 6-0) as she starts another run towards a single-season win title. No. 5 Alexa Richert kept the wins rolling over Hana Lang (6-0, 6-0) and No. 6 sophomore Nina Milic bested Addison Liberty (6-0, 6-0).

Chakira Derman at No. 2 came close to a clean sheet for all singles but dusted Ella Mahaffy (6-0, 6-1) in individual play.

No. 1s Molano and Lopez Pagan took the only victory (6-1) in doubles over Crystal Craft and Caitlin Hudson.

Lauren Gottberg, Milic, Ishane and Richert also competed in doubles in Lincoln.

Concordia (2-0) will prep for the spring season as winter approaches for the Bulldogs. In the 2026 opener, CUNE will take on McPherson College (0-0) in Kearney, Neb., on Sunday (Feb. 1). The two teams are set to face off at 12 p.m. CT at the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center.
