Garner’s offensive prowess earns GPAC award

SEWARD, Neb. – The offensive juggernaut Kierstynn Garner scores a weekly honor as announced by the league office on Tuesday (Oct. 14). She was awarded the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring first versus Hastings (2-1) and the game winner over Waldorf (10-0). She has been announced for honor for the second time this season and the eighth time in her career.

After the Broncos scored in the opening minutes, Garner equalized only 11 minutes later in the massive GPAC triumph at Hastings. The Kearney, Neb., native delivered a stellar performance posting a hat trick in goals and assists, being a part of six goals scored in the 10-tally route. She scored nine points while spending only 43 minutes on the field.

KG has 16 total goals (second in GPAC), nine assists (first in GPAC) and 41 points (first in GPAC) looking to make her run at GPAC Player of the Year. She has tied the program’s second-highest goals (65) after the outings in the past week. Garner has 22 game-winning goals in her time as a Bulldog.

Concordia will travel to Midland on Wednesday to face the Warriors at Heedum Field at 7:30 p.m. CT.
