SEWARD, Neb. – The expectation for Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Soccer is a top-three conference finish this fall. The Bulldogs checked in at No. 3 in the 2026 GPAC Women’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll released on Aug. 18 by the conference office. Concordia garnered 100 points in the poll, placing it behind Hastings and Morningside. The top five was rounded out by Dordt and Doane.

Back in March, the Bulldogs began a transition as Jason Weides took on the head coaching role after previously guiding the men’s soccer program for 18 years. Preseason training began on Aug. 4 when Concordia reported to campus. The roster features returning GPAC All-Conference players in Kyana Rios (first team), Triniti Rowe (first team), Guadulupe Sanchez (second team) and Sadie Mares (honorable mention). They were part of a 2025 squad that finished with a record of 13-2-5 (7-1-3 GPAC) and placed second in the conference standings.

The Bulldogs will open the 2026 season with a road trip to Oklahoma for matchups with University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Aug. 20) and Mid-America Christian University (Aug. 22). Weides will make his home debut as head women’s soccer coach on Sept. 2 for an in-state clash with Bellevue University. The complete schedule can be found HERE.
