Schedule Release: 2025-26 Concordia Weightlifting

2025-26 Concordia Weightlifting Schedule

SEWARD, Neb. – The fourth season of competitive lifting at Concordia University, Nebraska is slated to get underway in October. Head Coach Freddie Myles’ program has announced a 2025-26 schedule complete with four total events throughout the academic year. The program has continued its upward trajectory each season under the direction of Myles, who also serves as Concordia’s Director of Strength and Conditioning. Myles is assisted by Chevy Stout.

This past 2024-25 season saw Bulldog Weightlifting break through on the national stage. At the 2025 University Weightlifting National Championships in Columbus, Ohio, Concordia earned national place finishes of fourth for men, sixth for women and fifth in the co-ed breakdown. After transferring in at semester, Kaiden Mima made an immediate impact as he won the 61kg national championship. Meanwhile, Evan Fukuhara placed as a national runner up and Taylor Hedke (fifth) and Enzo Mancini (fifth) landed inside the top five of their respective weight classes.

A new season of Concordia Weightlifting is scheduled to begin with the Nebraska State Championships in Omaha on Oct. 18. Prior to the end of the fall semester, the Bulldogs will also take part in the Virus Weightlifting Finals (Dec. 4-7) in Daytona Beach, Fla. The season will resume during the spring semester with the 2026 University Weightlifting National Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 9-12, before wrapping action up with the Concordia Weightlifting Open on April 25. The home event will take place inside the Fieldhouse.
