Tournament Preview: 2026 Concordia Bulldog Spring Invite

SEWARD, Neb. – For the eighth time in history, Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Golf will host the Concordia Bulldog Spring Invitational. Golfers from 10 institutions are scheduled to play at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln as part of the two-day event (April 7-8) that will feature a total of 54 holes. The field is slated to be made up of 68 individual golfers. Nine of the 10 Concordia Invite teams are GPAC members.

Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad has competed in six events throughout the 2025-26 season. Most recently, the Bulldogs played at the Bethel College Spring Invite and placed third out of six teams. They shot 357-335–692 for the event. Senior Maddie Lewis came away with a fourth-place individual trophy. During the fall semester, Concordia recorded runner-up team placements at the Mount Marty Invite, Frommelt Fall Classic, Siouxland Invite and York Invite before placing third at the Nebraska Intercollegiate. The bar was set high as the Bulldogs broke the program record for lowest 18-hole team score (320) and for lowest 36-hole team score (658) in the fall. The team’s season average currently sits at 334.9.

Based on scoring average, Concordia’s top performers this season have been Emery Custer (80.3), Lewis (83.5), Savannah McFalls (84.3), Olivia James (88.0) and Amelia Ptacnik (90.8). In her senior season, Custer has posted respective tournament place finishes of third, second, first, second, sixth and 11th. The championship came at the Siouxland Invite. Top 10 tournament placements this season have also been earned by Lewis (four) and McFalls (three).

At the 2025 Concordia Invite, weather caused the tournament to be shortened to 36 holes. The Bulldogs wound up placing ninth out of 13 groupings while shooting 352-346–698 (+122). In a field of 76 players, Custer placed 18th (83-83–166) and Lewis placed 26th (86-84–170). Doane is the reigning Concordia Invite champion.

Following the Concordia Invite, the varsity team will return to action at the Wildcat Classic hosted by Wayne State College on April 13-14. The site will be Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Neb. The GPAC Championships (April 27-28) are also quickly approaching.
