Concordia in second after round one of Nebraska Intercollegiate

NORFOLK, Neb. – For the first time in the event’s history, the Nebraska Intercollegiate includes a women’s tournament. On day one, the Concordia University Women’s Golf team shot a score of 355 and resides in second place out of three teams. The light tournament field features 20 golfers from the likes of Concordia, Hastings and Wayne State College. The action is being held over two days (Oct. 8-9) at Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb.

The weekend event will serve as the final tournament of the fall season for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad. Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs shot a two-round total of 351-353–704 at the GPAC Championships.

Standout Kendra Placke highlighted Concordia’s performances on Friday by shooting a six-over-par 78. She sits five strokes behind tournament leader Jazmine Taylor of Wayne State. Placke entered the weekend with a season scoring average of 78.8 (with a low round of 74). The full list of Bulldog scores can be found below.
