SIOUX CITY, Iowa – While junior Emery Custer posted a win at the top of the lineup, the Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Golf team came up one victory short on Friday (March 28) as the Briar Cliff Match Play Tournament wrapped up. The 3-2 loss to Dordt prevented the Bulldogs from claiming fifth place amongst the eight teams in the field. Both days of action took place at Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa.

Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad went 1-1 on Thursday at the match play event, falling to Dakota Wesleyan, 4.5 to 0.5, before bouncing back with a 3-2 win over Northwestern. All eight competing teams played three matches as part of the unique event.

A returning All-GPAC honoree out of Broken Bow, Neb., Custer went 2-1 in Sioux City. She finished strong by defeating her opponent (2&1) from Dordt on Friday. In the No. 4 spot, senior Jennifer Gillotti picked up a victory (1up). The rest of the Bulldog lineup included Maddie Lewis, Savanna McFalls and Sarah Wilson.
