By the numbers

·       Seven Bulldogs realized double-digits in the march towards 133 points (71 at half) scored against the Warriors. Kristin Vieselmeyer (18), Abbie Kromarek (13), Mack Reimer (13), Bree Bunting (12), Sammy Leu (11), Libby Hoffman (11) and Savannah Butterfield (10) all hit the mark with others not far behind. Makynna Robbins played gimme that, pawing in a game-high 13 boards off the glass. Six Concordia players grabbed at least three steals in the 27-swipe taking that included Vieselmeyer (four), Leu (four), Bunting, Hoffman, Joclyn Bassett and Kromarek. The team shot nearly 60 percent (49-for-82) with 46 rebounds and 32 total assists.

·       The top four scorers are totaling double figures from the likes of Vieselmeyer (15.4), Bunting (11.4), Leu (10.2) and Roth (10.0). Savannah Butterfield and Juliana Jones as just behind with 8.6 and 7.8, respectively. The team is showing off on the offensive end with 102.6 points per game (3rd in NAIA) in the first five. Shooting 49.1 percent (13 in NAIA) from field goal range, the Bulldogs average 38.4 made baskets and 12.4 from long range. From the foul line, the women’s basketball lineup has dropped 75.3 percent so far.

·       After the preseason NAIA coaches’ poll left Concordia out of the rankings, it has surged to No. 11 after just five impressive and dominant outings. With two wins over previous top-25 sides, the Bulldogs weren’t receiving votes and now have 339 total in just four games. To be fair, the Seward bench has averaged a +51.6-point margin in the early bouts.

·       The stout defense is first in the NAIA averaging 23 steals and 33.8 forced turnovers a contest, which ranks 3rd in the NAIA stats sheets. If teams are preparing to shoot, the Dawgs have made teams unable to rise clean, blocking 4.0 per contest and are just outside the top-25 (28th). Concordia has seldom given up defensive boards to opponents with 21.8 averaged (1st in GPAC). Kelty (6.8), Robbins (5.3) and Vieselmeyer (4.2) pace the team in rebounds. Four Bulldogs have totaled 2-plus swipes a contest including Leu (3.4), Kelty (2.4), Gabrielle Wagner (2.2), Vieselmeyer (2.2), Roth (2.0) and Joclyn Bassett (2.0).

·       With one of the more under-the-radar stats, Vieselmeyer is the only one of 16 players to be on the floor 20 minutes a game. Time has been spread on the floor as 13 players have spent over 10 minutes a game in each contest. Over the 15-minute mark are starters Vieselmeyer (20.0), Kelty (18.8), Leu (18.4), and Bree Bunting (17.0). Others getting more of the significant ticks off the clock are Roth (14.8), Wagner (14.4), Butterfield (14.0), Sara Harley (12.8) and Jones (11.8).

·       Graduate Assistant Vince Ongtangco was a previous full time assistant coach for the Flames in the 2024-25 season. Under current Head Coach Natalie Miller, the two teamed up for a 1-27 overall record as a first-year duo. The Midland alum, Ongtangco joined the Bulldogs in the summer of 2025 and will be on the opposite bench versus familiar faces of CSM.
