2025-26 Winter Sport NAIA Scholar-Athletes

SEWARD, Neb. – Concordia University, Nebraska Women’s Basketball placed 19 team members on the list of 2025-26 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes announced on Tuesday (Feb. 24) by the NAIA National Office. The number is an increase from the program’s 16 NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards in 2024-25. Ten of the honorees are repeat award winners from last season.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.

The honor roll includes seniors Kristin Vieselmeyer and Gabrielle Wagner. Now a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete, Vieselmeyer is also a two-time Academic All-District honoree (as chosen by College Sports Communicators). In addition to excelling in the classroom, Head Coach Drew Olson’s ’25-26 squad has positioned itself for a national tournament bid. The Bulldogs own a 22-6 overall record entering postseason play.

Concordia University, Nebraska ranks as the NAIA’s all-time leader in number of Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes with 2,739 entering the 2024-25 academic year. The school record for number of Scholar-Athletes in one academic year is 226 achieved in 2019-20. Concordia has been a regular national leader for both Scholar-Athletes and Scholar-Teams.
