SEWARD, Neb. – In the first release of conference weekly awards for the 2025-26 season, Concordia University, Nebraska junior Raelyn Kelty earned recognition. The league office named Kelty the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday (Nov. 4). The award is based on Kelty’s performance in last week’s 80-59 win at Graceland University (Iowa).

A 5-foot-11 forward from Kiowa, Colo., Kelty and company flustered the Yellowjackets into 28 turnovers while limiting them to 40.4 percent shooting in the contest that took place in Lamoni, Iowa, on Oct. 28. Kelty stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 15 rebounds (10 defensive, five offensive), six steals and four assists. Kelty is a returning starter coming off a sophomore season that saw her average 9.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game and earn Honorable Mention All-GPAC accolades. Kelty is a Business Administration major.

Kelty and her teammates will return to action this weekend at the 26th annual Cattle Classic (Nov. 7-8). Head Coach Drew Olson’s squad (2-0) will play once on Friday and Saturday with both matchups coming against top 25 foes. The complete Cattle Classic schedule can be found HERE.
